About the Centre and Role

• Privately owned, teacher- and child-led centre, easy walking distance of local cafes, parks and public transport
• Separate rooms for infants & toddlers and preschool 
• Full-time, permanent position as the Head Teacher in the preschool room

What You Will Bring

• A current New Zealand Teaching Council practising certificate and a recognised ECE teaching qualification (diploma in teaching ECE or degree in education)
• Previous experience as a Head Teacher, with strong programme planning, assessment and evaluation skills aligned with Ministry of Education requirements and regulations
• Thorough understanding of Ministry of Education regulations, compliance, and best practice in early childhood education
• Genuine passion for tamariki, with a commitment to high-quality education and the best possible outcomes for children and their whānau
• Flexible, reflective practice, with the ability to adapt to daily changes in the classroom and maintain a positive, calm presence
• Authentic leadership that fosters trusting, respectful relationships with tamariki, parents and colleagues; able to motivate and inspire others
• Adaptable, open-minded and motivated, with a willingness to actively contribute to a collaborative team culture
• Already living in Aotearoa New Zealand with full work rights
